Sharing knowledge
Much more than just an exhibition, SPATEX 2026 offers an abundance of free learning opportunities with a double seminar programme packed full of new topics that particularly cater for the specific demands of water leisure managers.
The technical workshops in Arena 1 are all CPD accredited. Arena 2 will cover a diverse range of topics, such as the impact of AI on the industry and the latest need-to-know safety legislation. The Institute of Swimming (IOS) will be partnering with STA to deliver a joint Pool Plant Tutor CPD Day on the Tuesday, from 09:00 to 13:00. It’s open to all pool plant tutors, regardless of which training organisation they represent.
“We aim to bring tutors together to tackle industry challenges, like preventing chemical incidents. We are also planning to host a series of seminars as a Pool Plant Theatre in collaboration with STA, ISPE and RLSS UK.”
PWTAG will also be providing a comprehensive seminar programme on the Thursday morning.
A meeting of minds
New for 2026 is an exciting new initiative called The Industry Hub with five of the leading industry association all conveniently grouped on one stand (adjacent to seminar Arena 2) – PWTAG (Pool Water Treeatment Advisory Group), STA (Swimming Teachers Association), RLSS UK (Royal Life Saving Society), IOS (Institute of Swimming), and the BSPF’s (British Swimming Pool Federation) SPATA (Swimming Pool & Allied Trades Association) and BISHTA (British & Irish Spa & Hot Tub Association). Look forward to a warm reception and bring your questions and plans. The LCA (Legionella Control Association) and WMSoc (Water Management Society) will also be out in force at the show, with speakers from both associations giving keynote talks in the seminar arenas.
