Jo Talbot wins Outstanding Individual Leadership Award at the ukactive Awards!

At a glittering ceremony ((Thursday, 30 October 2025) at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK)’s Commercial Director, Jo Talbot, was crowned the ‘Outstanding Individual Leadership Award’ winner.  

The Outstanding Individual Leadership Award category was open to high-performing leaders from any type of organisation. To be shortlisted by the judges and progress to the public vote, leaders had to have made a positive impact on their organisation through collaborative teamwork and overcoming challenges. Applicants also had to demonstrate successful impact in their organisation from implementing different strategies, development plans, and inspirational approaches to leadership, whilst fundamentally supporting the mission of getting the nation more active 

Jo was successfully shortlisted by the judges and crowned the winner after receiving the most votes in the public vote.

Jo truly deserves this award and the recognition that accompanies it for what she has achieved for the organisation and personally. This award is even more special as the public votes for it, and it demonstrates that people really appreciate the unwavering commitment that Jo has shown over the last 10 years, supporting the leisure industry, lifeguarding, and water safety education.”
