Athleticum® Shares Major 2026 Update: PROS Powered by Pure Energy, The Studio Summit, and New Industry-Leading Launches
Athleticum® is pleased to share an exciting company update as it moves into 2026 with a series of strategic partnerships, flagship events, and product and education launches designed to support gyms, studios, and fitness professionals across the UK and Ireland.
At the centre of this momentum is the announcement that PROS:2026 will be powered by Pure Energy Music, marking a major new two-year headline partnership for Athleticum’s signature education and activation event. PROS is a three-day conference taking place from 20–22 March 2026 at the Blackpool Winter Gardens Conference Centre, created for group fitness and Spinning® professionals. It combines science-led education, practical coaching application, and immersive live experiences, helping instructors elevate their delivery, improve member outcomes, and stay connected to the evolving demands of modern group fitness. The 2026 edition will once again bring together world-class presenters, progressive education content, and music-driven sessions that reflect how group fitness is delivered on the studio floor today.
Athleticum® is also delighted to continue its long-standing partnership with Power Plate, who will play a key role across the PROS weekend. Power Plate will support a programme of functional, recovery, and performance-focused workshops and activations, demonstrating how technology-led solutions can be integrated into contemporary club and studio environments to enhance the overall member experience.
Running alongside PROS will be The Studio Summit on Friday 20 March 2026. Created specifically for independent gym owners, boutique studio operators, and managers, The Studio Summit is a one-day, business-focused event designed to help operators step away from daily delivery and focus on strategy, growth, and long-term sustainability. The Summit brings together industry experts, practical business insights, and real-world solutions tailored to the commercial challenges facing today’s fitness operators.
Athleticum® is pleased to confirm that Leisure DB will be actively contributing to The Studio Summit, with Alexa Passingham presenting a dedicated session titled From Data to Community: Turning Demographics into Growth. This session will challenge attendees to look beyond surface-level member profiles and better understand the data behind their membership base and the wider community surrounding their gym or studio. Attendees will leave with practical takeaways and a complimentary Member Boost report, offering a snapshot insight into their own membership data to kickstart meaningful analysis and growth planning.
A further highlight of The Studio Summit programme will be a panel-led session, Elevating Women’s Health: Actionable Strategies for Women’s Wellness, delivered by Power Plate. This discussion-led session will bring together key insights and real-world experience from industry professionals working in women’s health and performance, exploring credible, evidence-informed approaches to supporting female members across different life stages.
Beyond events, Athleticum® is also launching several important innovations in 2026. This includes the introduction of FORMA® Pilates, a new premium Pilates equipment range designed to cater from home users through to boutique studios, as well as the launch of Athleticum Functional Studio HIIT benches. Designed specifically for small group training and studio-based HIIT formats, these versatile benches support strength, conditioning, and functional movement, offering operators a space-efficient solution to expand programming and maximise class-based revenue.
Education remains central to Athleticum®’s mission. In 2026, the company is expanding its education portfolio with new Foundation and Genetics Certification programmes, delivered in partnership with Optimum Performance. These programmes explore genetics and DNA testing to help fitness professionals better understand individual responses to training, recovery, and lifestyle interventions, supporting more personalised, client-centred coaching solutions.
Athleticum® is also launching a specialist Spinning® for Hip Osteoarthritis course, developed following positive outcomes from the five-year CLEAT study conducted by Bournemouth University. The course supports clubs and instructors in delivering inclusive, pain-aware indoor cycling programmes for members looking to improve fitness while managing joint health.
Athleticum® invites gym and studio owners, managers, and fitness professionals to take time out to attend PROS:2026 and The Studio Summit – two complementary events delivering education, insight, and inspiration in one shared location.
