BODY BIKE UK Reinforces Long-Term Commitment to UK Market Under Experienced Leadership

BODY BIKE UK has reinforced its long-term commitment to the UK fitness market, bringing clarity of leadership and accountability to the brand’s presence across health clubs, leisure centres, boutique studios, universities and hotels.

While BODY BIKE has been established in the UK for many years, BODY BIKE UK now provides clear UK-based leadership and long-term responsibility for the brand in the market, underpinned by extensive industry experience and a service-led approach.

Experienced leadership, clear accountability

BODY BIKE UK is led by Douglas Bell, Co-Owner and Managing Director, alongside Mark Purdue, Co-Owner and Director of Product Support. Both bring decades of experience across the fitness industry, with deep expertise in equipment performance, servicing and supporting operators in high-use studio environments.

They are joined by Adam Sloan, Finance Director, and Lynda Brown, who supports marketing and communications for the UK business.

Together, the team’s priority is straightforward: long-term partnership, dependable support, and ensuring BODY BIKE’s design and engineering strengths translate into real-world studio performance.

Our focus is on being a reliable, long-term partner for UK operators, supporting them not just with purpose-built, premium indoor cycling bikes, but with the service and accountability needed to keep studios running day after day.
— Douglas Bell, Managing Director, BODY BIKE UK

A specialist brand built for longevity

For more than 30 years, BODY BIKE has focused exclusively on designing and engineering indoor studio cycles. No portfolios. No distractions. Just bikes, refined over decades to deliver reliability, durability and consistent performance in demanding commercial environments.

Long before sustainability became a marketing trend, BODY BIKE was engineering bikes to last longer, be serviced rather than replaced, and reduce waste through longevity. That philosophy continues today, supported by innovations such as the BODY BIKE Smart + OceanIX model, incorporating recycled fishing nets, and the SMART+ technology platform.

This specialist focus has made BODY BIKE a trusted choice for operators who prioritise uptime, lifecycle value, long-term ownership costs, and innovative, responsible design, rather than short-term savings.

Supporting operators beyond the bike

As part of its UK commitment, BODY BIKE UK is focused on strengthening how operators are supported throughout the full lifecycle of their equipment.

This includes continued investment in technical support, online access to genuine spare parts, and digital resources designed to help operators minimise downtime and maintain consistent performance.

The recently launched BODY BIKE UK website plays an important role in this approach, acting as a central hub for product information and support resources. Additional functionality, including online access to spare parts and educational video content to support basic maintenance, is in development and will be introduced over time, with a continued focus on making it easier for operators to keep studios running smoothly.

Looking ahead

BODY BIKE UK’s direction is clear and consistent: the same iconic bikes, the same design standards, and a renewed focus on accountability, service and long-term support in the UK market.
