HaloRed Pilot Success: Performance, Recovery & Real Commercial Impact

Member expectations are changing. People want more than access to equipment and classes, they want support for how they feel, how they recover, and how they perform day to day.

Over the past year, Halotherapy Solutions has been running HaloRed pilot programmes across a number of high profile global fitness locations including in the UK. The aim was simple: assess how a multi-modality recovery and respiratory solution can drive engagement, improve perceived wellbeing, and generate incremental value within a premium health club environment.

A wellness experience members actually use

HaloRed cabins combine halotherapy (dry salt therapy) and red light therapy in a fully automated, touchless format designed for high-footfall settings. Sessions are easy to book, easy to use, and slot naturally into existing routines, before training, after workouts, or on rest days.

Members describe the experience as calming and restorative. Halotherapy supports breathing and respiratory comfort, particularly useful for members training hard or dealing with seasonal congestion. Red light therapy supports muscle recovery, cellular energy, and inflammation management. Together, they create a short, focused reset that feels purposeful and achievable in the busiest of schedules.

Across pilot sites, uptake was strong from the outset. As one club leader involved in the programme shared:

“Sessions were fully booked well in advance, and member feedback has been consistently positive.”

Strong engagement and repeat behaviour

Feedback from members has been clear and consistent. Many report easier breathing after sessions, improved recovery between workouts, and better energy across the week. HaloRed has appealed to a wide mix of members, including performance-driven athletes and those less engaged with traditional gym spaces.

What stood out most was repeat use. Once members tried HaloRed, many quickly made it part of their routine. As one operator noted:

“The cabins quickly became one of the most popular and talked-about features on site.”

This helped position HaloRed as a core part of the club’s wider wellness offering, rather than a short-term novelty.

Revenue without added complexity

HaloRed operates with minimal day-to-day overhead. Sessions are easy for staff and members to use, and booking data across pilot locations showed consistent forward reservations and sustained demand.

From a commercial perspective, HaloRed proved highly flexible. Clubs used it in different ways, including as:

●      A premium membership feature to support upgrades

●      A paid add-on generating incremental revenue

●      Part of higher-tier memberships to strengthen perceived value

In each case, HaloRed gave teams something tangible to talk about, moving membership conversations beyond equipment lists and class schedules to recovery, breathing, and wellbeing.

Supporting retention and membership upgrades

Clubs also saw HaloRed support member retention. Members who used the cabins regularly were more engaged and more likely to see value in premium tiers that included recovery and wellness benefits.

Rather than being positioned as an ‘extra’, HaloRed became part of what made membership feel more complete. This helped clubs strengthen upgrade conversations and increase lifetime member value without adding operational strain.

Everyday wellness, not just performance

These pilots reflect a wider shift toward everyday wellness. By placing respiratory support and recovery directly into the club environment, HaloRed makes these benefits part of normal routines, not something members have to seek elsewhere.

This supports both performance and long-term wellbeing, reinforcing the role of clubs as partners in health, not just places to train.

Erin Lee, who initiated the UK pilot on behalf of Halotherapy Solutions, comments:

We were confident the pilot would be successful, as interest in HaloRed has been growing rapidly across the global wellness and fitness sectors. What the pilot demonstrated in practice is how effectively respiratory health, recovery, and energy support can be integrated into everyday club life, creating genuine value for members while supporting a commercially sustainable model for operators.

With strong results across multiple markets, the momentum continues. HaloRed O₂ is now available, expanding the HaloRed experience with oxygen-enriched airflow to further support breathing, recovery, and energy where it matters most. As more operators rethink how wellness fits into everyday club life, HaloRed O₂ offers a chance to be part of a growing movement that blends performance, prevention, and commercial sense. For clubs ready to lead rather than follow, now is the time to start the conversation.
