Inspire, Learn and Lead: Themes for The One Swim England Summit 2026 announced
Swim England has unveiled the themes for The One Swim England Summit 2026, which will take place at The Vox, Birmingham, on Thursday, 19 March 2026.
The event will bring together everyone from the aquatics community – from pool and leisure operators to tutors, coaches, teachers, volunteers and poolside supporters – all the people united by a shared goal: creating great experiences in and around water.
The One Swim England Summit will explore three guiding themes: Inspire, Learn and Lead. These themes reflect Swim England’s ongoing commitment to serving the aquatic community by creating a space that encourages collaboration, innovation, learning and the opportunity to shape the future of aquatics.
Aimed at sparking fresh thinking and challenging assumptions, ‘Inspire’ will engage and energise attendees, celebrate creativity and prompt everyone to think about the role they currently play in aquatics, as well as what they can do to make the pool an even more engaging and welcoming environment.
The strand ‘Learn’ is all about giving attendees the tools and knowledge to deliver inclusive, safe and lasting participation to learners. Whether it’s refining approaches to meet diverse needs, embedding principles that encourage lifelong participation, or reinforcing the importance of safety at every stage, this theme ensures learning is purposeful and transformative for learners.
‘Lead’ will focus on why confident, purposeful leadership is essential to shaping the future of aquatics. This theme explores what it takes to turn vision into reality. Whether that is nurturing the next generation of swimming teachers or creating a culture where learners and educators can thrive at every stage. It’s about equipping attendees with the mindset, strategies and practical considerations needed to drive positive progress and ensure change is both sustainable and impactful.
Underlying these themes is Swim England’s commitment to collaboration and serving its community. The One Swim England Summit is more than just an event: it’s a meeting point for ideas, inspiration, connection and opportunities to learn.
