CoverMe helps Snap Fitness find new pool of instructors in hours
Snap Fitness Elephant & Castle has dramatically improved the way it manages instructor cover after adopting CoverMe, the specialist fitness team management platform. Within just three hours of CoverMe issuing a recruitment post, the club received interest from 31 qualified instructors, highlighting both the demand for flexible work opportunities and the platform’s ability to effectively connect clubs with talent.
The club, which offers 20 group exercise classes each week, had previously relied on WhatsApp to organise instructor cover. While convenient on the surface, this approach often created communication gaps and inefficiencies. According to general manager Luana Souza, the system frequently proved unreliable.
“Our head trainer used a WhatsApp cover group, but the problem was that messages didn’t always reach me. That gap in communication made the process unreliable,” she says.
The facility operates with a core team of 12 instructors who deliver its main timetable. Luana wanted to supplement this with a pool of vetted and qualified instructors to cover group exercise classes when needed, especially for the club’s seven signature classes. The results of using CoverMe exceeded all expectations, attracting both new instructors and reconnecting the club with familiar faces.
“CoverMe attracted instructors completely new to us as well as some from our sister sites. We now have a strong pool of instructors on our cover list. It’s been lovely to reconnect with those who have worked with us in the past. They already know the club setup and have great rapport with our members.”
Snap Fitness Elephant & Castle is still actively recruiting through CoverMe. Future plans include expanding its morning timetable to better serve parents after the school run as well as increasing the number of classes offered on Fridays. In addition, the team is using the platform to source new personal trainers, further strengthening its overall service offering.
